A day many visitors tell me they needed
On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked Israeli communities, army posts and the Nova music festival near the Gaza border. The day changed these communities, and the country, forever.
This day is about understanding: what happened, the history and geography behind it, and the people who are choosing to rebuild. I guide it with care and with nuance, and I make room for every question.
What the day can include
The communities
Kibbutzim and towns such as Sderot, and when possible, time with the residents who lived through that day.
The Nova festival site
The memorial near Kibbutz Re'im, a place to pause and remember.
The bigger picture
The history and geography of the region, explained honestly and without slogans.
Supporting the south
Lunch and shopping at local businesses, so your visit helps the region recover.
Good questions
How long is the Gaza Envelope tour?
A full day, from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. It can also be part of a longer journey.
Is the itinerary fixed?
No. Access to some sites changes, so I plan each day based on current conditions and on your group's interests.
Is it appropriate for children?
The day includes difficult content. Tell me your children's ages, and I'll help you decide and adapt the day if needed.
Can we meet residents?
Often, yes, depending on availability. Hearing from the people who live here is the most powerful part of the day.
